1. Application:
The 260 coil packing line is designed for the package of automotive and building wires. The process is automatic from pay-off, coiling, strapping, labeling and thermo shrink packing. The state of the art double head coiler with manipulator will ensure the high speed coiling and high efficient packing. All the processes are controlled by PLC. The max. production capacity of the system is 4 coils/min.

(1) Machine body
A precise platform with the welded frame for all the components
Machine casing with buttons and HMI for operation
(2) Wire tensioning unit
Tension wheel (Ф250mm) with belt for tension control, driven by hysteresis brake (Mitsubishi)
Pneumatic cylinder to pull the belt wrapped on the wheel tightly
Guiding wheels with one-way bearing to keep the wire tight
Precise tension control by PID
(3) Wire feeding unit
Pneumatic wire feeding device to feed the wire to coiling head for a new circle
Wire clamp holding the wire and rotating 45°to feed wire
Pneumatic cylinders via electro-valve controlled by PLC
(4) Cutter
Rotating cutter by pneumatic cylinder via electro-valve controlled by PLC
Two blades design, made of SKD11 steel with heat treatment for long life
(5) Coiling head
Welded support for coiling head and traverse unit, installed on the main precise platform
Coiling head assembly moving up and down (10mm displacement) on the vertical precise rails
The telescope and collapsible coiler core move up to release the finished coil
The coiling head driven directly by 7kw servo motor
The distance between upper and lower flanges is 150mm, adjustable.
Lower rotating flange with a connecting platform for manipulator, installed on the main platform
(6) Traverse unit
Traversing wheel driven by servo motor and ball screw
Traversing is synchronized with coiling by the PLC control
SIMOTION technology for traverse control
(7) Manipulator
Manipulator sliding on the horizontal rails for strapping or thermo shrinking machines
Manipulator consisting of holding clamp (arms), pneumatically driven, and moving trolley with
electro-mechanical actuators
An auxiliary platform on the trolley connecting with coiling and strapping machine
Manipulator will discharge scrap in the space between coiler and strapping machines.
High quality cable chain for the power supplier to the moving manipulator
All the actions synchronized with the other machines and controlled by PLC
